Understanding WARA
What is WARA?
WARA is a care-first service company focused on helping families navigate elder care and healthcare support through a connected approach.
Our aim is to make it easier to understand care needs, explore suitable services, coordinate appropriate providers, and clarify responsibilities.
Care for Your Parents. Care for Your Family.
What kinds of care does WARA focus on?
WARA’s care model has four distinct CareNets:
- ElderCareNet: Agreed check-ins, care visibility, family communication, and coordination when something needs attention.
- HomeCareNet: Daily living assistance and practical support at home.
- HealthCareNet: Access to doctors, consultations, diagnostics, referrals, and healthcare coordination.
- AyushCareNet: Appropriate recovery, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, and continuing well-being support.
A family may need one or several types of support. You do not have to choose a CareNet before contacting WARA.
Do I need to know which service to choose?
No. Start by explaining what is happening, where support is needed, and what concerns you most. WARA can help explore appropriate options based on your situation and the services available.
How is WARA different from simply hiring a caregiver?
WARA’s intended approach goes beyond identifying an individual service provider. It emphasises understanding the family’s needs, defining responsibilities, connecting suitable services, and clarifying communication and follow-up arrangements.
The actual support, reporting, and coordination available depend on the service agreed and the arrangements in place.
Caregivers and Services
Does WARA provide caregivers and home-care assistance?
WARA’s model includes daily living assistance and practical support at home through HomeCareNet. Whether a suitable worker or service can be arranged depends on the location, required skills, schedule, and confirmed service availability.
The scope and terms should be clarified before an arrangement is confirmed.
Are caregivers trained and verified?
Suitability, relevant training, qualifications where required, and appropriate checks are important considerations when arranging care.
The checks and qualifications applicable to a particular person or provider should be confirmed before engagement. Families should not assume that every provider has completed the same verification process.
Can I arrange hourly, full-day, or overnight care?
The available schedule depends on the service, location, staffing, and the individual’s needs. Do not assume that hourly, full-day, overnight, or continuous care is available in every area.
Tell WARA what support and timing you need so the available options can be discussed.
Can the arrangement change if our needs change?
Care needs can change over time. Where a service is in place, the family and responsible service contact can discuss changes to the scope, schedule, or type of support.
Any change depends on suitability, availability, and the terms agreed with the provider.
Does WARA provide medical treatment or nursing care?
WARA’s coordination model does not replace qualified healthcare professionals or hospitals. Clinical assessment, diagnosis, prescriptions, treatment, and specialised nursing tasks must be handled by appropriately qualified and authorised professionals.
Where available, HealthCareNet can help families explore healthcare access and related arrangements.
Coordination and Family Communication
How will I know what is happening when I live away from my loved one?
Communication arrangements should be agreed before care begins. Depending on the service, these may include updates from the responsible provider or contact person.
The frequency, format, and scope of updates depend on the arrangement in place. Families should confirm these details rather than assume that continuous or real-time updates are included.
What is the Care Ledger?
The Care Ledger is a supporting record and visibility concept within WARA’s care model. Where implemented and included in a service, it may help organise relevant activities, observations, concerns, and follow-up information.
It should not be assumed that every service includes a digital Care Ledger, that every activity is recorded, or that records are updated in real time.

Does WARA continuously monitor older adults?
Continuous monitoring should not be assumed. ElderCareNet focuses on agreed check-ins, visibility, reporting, and coordination within the service arrangement.
Any monitoring equipment, frequency of checks, alert mechanism, or response responsibility must be explicitly confirmed.
What happens if someone needs urgent help?
WARA’s care-coordination model is not a substitute for emergency services. In an urgent or life-threatening situation, contact the appropriate local emergency service immediately. Do not wait for WARA to respond.
Any additional local response or coordination arrangements must be confirmed in advance. WARA cannot guarantee a particular response time, ambulance availability, hospital admission, or medical outcome.

Healthcare and Recovery
Can WARA help us find a doctor or arrange diagnostic tests?
HealthCareNet is designed to help families explore available consultations, diagnostic services, referrals, and related arrangements. Actual access depends on suitable providers, location, availability, and confirmed arrangements.
Clinical decisions remain with qualified healthcare professionals.
Can WARA help after a hospital discharge or surgery?
Depending on the person’s needs and available services, families may explore home-based assistance, healthcare follow-up, and appropriate rehabilitation support.
These services have different responsibilities and may need to be arranged separately.
Does AyushCareNet replace medical treatment?
No. AyushCareNet focuses on appropriate recovery, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, and continuing well-being support. Yoga, movement, and lifestyle activities must be suitable for the individual and do not replace necessary medical treatment.
Pricing and Availability
How much does care cost?
Costs depend on the type of support, duration, location, required skills, provider arrangements, and any additional services.
WARA should clarify the proposed scope, applicable charges, and payment terms before an arrangement is confirmed. A universal price should not be assumed for every care situation.
Are there any additional charges?
Ask for the applicable charges and payment terms before proceeding, including any relevant travel, diagnostic, equipment, or third-party provider costs.
The terms should be made clear for the specific arrangement. Do not assume that every possible third-party expense is included in a quoted service price.
How quickly can care begin?
Start times depend on the person’s needs, location, service type, suitable personnel, provider availability, and any preparation required.
WARA should confirm a realistic start date after understanding the requirement. Same-day service or a fixed turnaround time should not be assumed.
Does WARA serve every city or locality?
Service availability depends on local operational capacity and confirmed provider or partner arrangements. Contact WARA with your location and requirements to establish what options may be available.
Can WARA guarantee a particular caregiver, hospital, or recovery outcome?
No such guarantee should be assumed. The suitability and availability of personnel, healthcare providers, and facilities must be confirmed. Medical and rehabilitation outcomes depend on individual circumstances and professional care.
Privacy and Personal Information
What information should I share when I first contact WARA?

Getting Started
How do I get care through WARA?
Begin by explaining your family’s situation and the support you are looking for. WARA can then explore the next step based on your needs and the services available.
You do not need to complete a complicated assessment or choose a CareNet before making contact.
What if I am not sure what to ask?
That is completely fine. Start with the main concern—for example, an older parent living alone, difficulty arranging daily assistance, a hospital discharge, or the need to coordinate healthcare appointments.
You can discuss the details as the conversation progresses.
What if my situation is urgent?
If someone is in immediate danger or experiencing a medical emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency service without delay. Do not wait for a response through WARA’s general contact process.
For non-emergency care enquiries, you can contact WARA to discuss the next step.
Still Have Questions?
You do not have to understand the entire care system before asking for help.
Tell us what your family is facing. We can discuss your needs, clarify what may be available, and help you understand the next step.
